I was finally able to source a new front fork from David Silver Spares. I did some light filler work and painted it red to match. The new head bearing kit had some pieces which didn’t fit correctly but using a combination of old and new parts I put together a working set up. The new bearings are caged, which makes them a lot easier to put together and take apart without losing balls everywhere. The fork was almost an exact fit, but a couple of the bolt holes were slightly off center and I had to widen the holes on the headlight cover to fit. Luckily this can’t be seen under the large washers.
