Welcome!

I’m an engineer with interests in a range of disciplines. I have experience and skills in software development, mechanical systems, film production, restaurant, and design. I’ve worked in customer-facing roles and trained employees for multiple roles. My education includes computer science, electrical engineering, statistics, behavior of materials, molecular modeling, polymers, and crystallography. What I Do

Software

Software development with Python and JavaScript. Version control with Git. Data analysis and models with Matlab, Microsoft Excel, VMD, LAMMPS, Avogadro.

Design

Graphic design using Adobe Photoshop. Video editing with Final Cut Pro. 3D mechanical design using CAD software.

Electronics and Mechanical

Electronics assembly, diagnosis, and repair. Mechanical systems including automotive, motorcycle, and appliance.

Materials

Characterization including compression/tension, impact, hardness, heat treatment, optical microscopy, microstructure, SEM. Material selection using CES/Granta Design software.

MoonCat Japanese Sushi Bistro

Cook/Waiter (Shift Lead); Ensured restaurant ran smoothly from open to close. Trained new waiters and cooks. Performed infrastructure maintenance and diagnosed/repaired equipment malfunctions. Improved communication skills in both English and Japanese.

Action on Film

Production Assistant; Created original graphics, newsletters, short videos, websites, and other promotional materials. Performed background research on submissions and secured broadcast rights for copyrighted materials. Provided general tech support for office and screenings.

Mechanized Propulsion Systems

Intern; performed general fabrication, welding, repair, and assembly of mechanical systems.

Sound Mixer; responsible for recording and mixing sound, as well as keeping data organized and labelled.
